PAUL MCCARTNEY lashed out at the idea that he was in some ways a worse person than John Lennon because he would sometimes do things on his own. But he pointed out that the Imagine singer did exactly the same thing. Lennon said he was “hurt” by McCartney’s actions. The other members of The Beatles were indifferent.
